An experienced Manager Data Governance Manager & Management defines and drives Data Governance framework and strategy across the organization, and enforce relevant data management practices include data quality, master data management, data linage, security, and confidentiality. The Manager Data Governance Manager & Management will have a strong aptitude for technology, professional demeanor, and possess excellent troubleshooting skills. To excel in this role, you should also have strong understanding of business needs, decision making and problem-solving skills. ACCOUNTABILITIES Accountability 1 Actively drive the development of enterprise-wide data governance framework and strategy with HQ, deploy in the Japan Market, and enforce relevant data management practices. Coordinate regarding the implementation of the data governance strategy across functions. Accountability 2 Facilitate relevant working group and governance forums to ensure effective data operations and data change management. Accountability 3 Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the enterprise data. Accountability 4 Work closely with compliance, legal, risk & control teams to ensure a thorough understanding of the regulatory and obligations related to usage of the data. Accountability 5 Serve as a liaison between business, analytics, and IT to ensure data related requirements are clearly defined, communicated and well-understood. Accountability 6 Identify, prioritize, and fix data related problems by collaborating with business users and IT department. REQUIREMENTS • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similarly scoped data governance/management role. • Experience in creating and managing data warehouses and ETL workflows across different cloud and on-premises technologies – Amazon Web Services, Microsoft stack (Azure / SQL Server) • Deep familiarity with data architecture and information system design principles. • Understanding of data governance and ownership principles and frameworks. • Experience working in regulated and unregulated environments, familiarity with key frameworks such as GDPR. • Excellent documentation and communication skills, capable of engaging different levels of seniority across Business, IT and Analytics. • Exceptional drive to create and improve - curious, open and hands on • Consistent accuracy and attention to detail, and able to manage a team as demand for support grows. OTHERS: SKILLS / FUNCTION SPECIFICS • Advanced understanding of commercial/market-based analytics Advanced understanding of using SQL and Excel to process data and cleansing for analysis. Include Power Query, VLOOKUP, and pivot table. • Advanced in translating hard data and finding to non-technical audience with actionable insights , and support decision making. • Advanced in understanding the business questions and translating into data requirements.
